Es pura casualidad que este artículo sobre la sincronización entre FeedDemon y Reedah, coincida con el de Greatnews actualizado. No es que esté intentando rescatar los feeds RSS, si bien es cierto, que yo sigo usándolos asiduamente, y por ese motivo continúo con FeedDemon en vez de Snarfer o GreatNews.No haré la historia demasiado larga. Nick Bradbury / Bradsoft, decidió abandonar de manera oficial el desarrollo de FeedDemon. Entre otros, el motivo fue que cerró el servicio de Google Reader, y la versión de pago de FeedDemon (FeedDemon Pro), ya no tenía sentido. De manera altruista, decidió sacar la versión 4.5, como una actualización totalmente gratuita y sin anuncios. Se planteó liberar el código fuente, pero fue técnicamente imposible. Como era lógico, aprovechó para eliminar todo el código de sincronización asociado, haciendo que así FeedDemon 4.5, fuera 100 Kb. más ligero que su predecesor el 4.1. Tenía sentido quitar algo, que no iba a usarse nunca más.Desgraciadamente en 2014 apareció Reedah, un lector de feeds online y gratuito, que tenía la particularidad de ser compatible a nivel de API con el de Google. En los foros de soporte de Bradsoft, en seguida se vió que se podía coger la última versión con el código de sincronización, y modificarla con un editor hexadecimal para engañarla, y que enlazase con Reedah en vez de Google. Fue un tema tan popular, que hasta en Reedah lo explican en las instrucciones.Lo malo es que la posibilidad de sincronizar, sólo estaba disponible en la versión comercial (de pago), que ya tampoco se vende, así que eventualmente tendrías que hacerte con serial para registrarlo. No obstante, como es un producto oficialmente abandonado, y yo mismo soy propietario de una licencia, no debe haber demasiado problema en que ponga a vuestra disposición una descarga de la versión 4.1 Pro, debidamente parcheada para sincronizar con Reedah (FeedDemon.exe). El paquete contiene el instalador de FeedDemon (FeedDemonInstall.exe), así como el mismo instalador descompilado, para que puedas usarlo de una forma más o menos portable.
